Most mid-market ERPs now ship some AI. The useful question is not whether they have an "AI ERP" page. It is which jobs the AI actually does: invoice OCR, automated accounting, agents, expense, and the close.

Questions people ask

What is an AI ERP?

Most vendors mean a copilot on an existing suite. Judge the functions, not the label.

Does Oracle NetSuite have AI OCR?

Yes. Bill Capture / Intelligent Bill Capture extracts vendor bills. The newest model is on select US-hosted accounts. You still review before the bill is created.

Does Business Central have AI OCR?

Yes. Payables Agent reads invoices. Drafts go to a supervisor. English-first.

Do they have AI agents?

NetSuite and Sage Intacct ship assistants. Business Central ships supervised agents for payables and, in preview, expenses. Light's agents run AP, AR, reconciliation, and the close on the live ledger.

Do they have AI expense management?

Business Central has an Expense Agent in preview. NetSuite and Sage Intacct do not have a native AI expense agent. Light captures receipts and cards on the same ledger.

When is Light the wrong shortlist?

Inventory, shop floor, or one operational suite: NetSuite or Business Central. Longest US audit and CPA bench: Sage Intacct.
